Is Blogging Still a Popular way to Make Money Online

 Blogging has been around for many years now, and was one the the only existing, most popular way people used back in those days to make tons of money online. Sounds cool right? However, a lot has happened since then; a lot of changes have occurred due to the development and improvements of Artificial Intelligence systems, such as the Chat GPT, Google Gemini and the rise of video platforms as well, such as YouTube, Tiktok, and so-on and so-forth. 

For starters, blogging is simply a way of sharing content online, through what is generally known as a blog. A blog is a platform that allows its registered users (publishers)  to write article (posts) and publish them online. You should know that Blogging is still a good way to earn a decent amount of money nowadays; though it’s no longer the best of the best nor the most popular. 

Blogging has always been one of the slowest ways to make money online. One of the reasons for this is because it takes a lot of time, work and dedication to create an online presence for any business. Moreover, Blogging requires certain skills such as search engine optimization (SEO), Html, java-script and CSS just to name the few. 

Nowadays, artificial intelligence is almost taking over everything; from writing quality contents and solving complex problems with high level accuracy. So running a blog means that you would be competing with these intelligent systems; and for you to survive in the game, you would have to deliver something that those so called AI can’t compete against. This is just one of the reasons why blogging is lost its rank as the most popular way to make money online globally. 

Many bloggers  left the stage (game) few years ago because the game became more tougher to bear (handle), since AI became highly proficient in most blog niches. Hence, making it difficult for some bloggers to compete against. 

Video platforms have also significantly affected blogging. As most people nowadays hardly have time to read a bunch of write-ups; they just focus on watching the video and getting the necessary information. And that’s already bringing video platforms at the forefront. 

On one hand, Blogging is still a very lucrative way to make money online if done the right way. If you have some writing skills and have passion for blogging ; you should definitely go in for it. On the other hand, video platforms are trending nowadays. If you are passionate about this one, create engaging videos, go Viral and make the dollars.
